Beers that are good, and beers that suck
February 9, 2006
A compendium of beers that be good, from off the top of my head.
- Anything from Anchor Brewing, especially their ported
- North Coast Brewing – The Old Rasputin is sometimes good. The prankster is always satisfying. The Red Seal is a little too bitter for my taste, but passable.
- Rasberry lambics are usually good.
- Delirium Tremens – awesome and gnarly
- Fish Tale IPA
- Bridgeport
- Eel River porter
Beers I’d drink if the store with all the good beer was closed
- New Belgium Brewing – about anything from these guys
- Delirium Nocturnum – good, but too sweet for my taste
- Moose drool – it’s just cool
- Fish Tale Brown or Pale
Beers that suck
- Budweiser(aka canned beer) – lame, thin, flavorless
- Modelo – see Budweiser
Beers that I fear
- Anything from mexico, or marginal euroasian breweries. If you can’t drink the water, don’t drink the beer.
Beers I don’t understand
- Celebrator(the one with the goat) – Darn tasty the first time I tried it. Sickeningly sweet the second time. Drink in cold weather, or over ice cream I guess.
